Boating: We offer canoes, kayaks, and rowboats to rent and launch directly in the Lake Everest section of the AuSable River. Rental rates start at $13 per boat for up to 2 hours (4 hour, 8 hour and full day rentals also available).
Fishing: Fish from our property in the world-renowned West Branch of the AuSable River and catch Brown and Rainbow Trout. Fishing licenses are required and available for both in-state and out-of-state anglers at the General Store (options range from 1 day to season). We also sell lures and bait. Children age 15 and younger do not need a license.
Hiking and Biking: Exclusive hiking & biking trails on our property that link directly to the Whiteface Trail. The new Poor Man’s Downhill is located right on our property! Plus there are numerous Adirondack trails nearby to enjoy.
Volleyball, basketball, horse shoes, tetherball, corn hole toss and bocci are also available on our property.
Gemstone and Mining Sluice: Pan for gems and fossils in our MINING SLUICE! Encourage your budding geologists to identify the pieces they find.
Olympic Attractions – we are located at the base of Whiteface Mountain. The gondola at the ski center is located 3 miles down the road, and the drive to the top of Whiteface (May-October only) starts just a block away. The Olympic Village of Lake Placid is located 10 miles down the road. Here, you can visit the Olympic Museum, the Arena, Ski Jumps, Bobsled Run and more.
Mountain Biking – be sure to check out the new trail called the Poor Man’s Downhill which ends right on our property in the 100 Acre Woods section. The trail head starts on Whiteface Memorial Highway, 2.7 miles from the intersection of Route 86 and Route 431. The trail is 3 miles long and descends 12oo vertical feet. More mountain biking is available at Whiteface Mountain, including lift assistance.
Free concerts at the Town Beach Thursday nights (2 minute walk – July & August), fishing along the West Branch Ausable River, sailing and boating, swimming, horse back riding, biking, in-line skating, ice skating, leaf peeping in the fall, rock climbing, hiking, golf, tennis, shopping, bowling, movie theatres, dining, skiing, snow boarding, snowshoeing, sledding and snowmobiling.
Santa’s Workshop – located just 2 miles away. Visit one of the country’s first theme park. Visit Santa, ride the kiddie rides and enjoy live entertainment.
